Andrea Jones

My name is Andrea Jones, I’m a Paramedic and have worked for the ambulance service for over 28yrs. As tough as the job can be at times it can also be one of the most rewarding jobs in the world!

I’ve known Ekka for many years and been aware of his work with homeless charities for a while, each time I saw Ekka at work I’d say “I’d like to help out” but was unsure what I could offer…

I finally tagged along with him and Liz to number 9 a couple of weeks ago and honestly felt moved by the kindness of the volunteers and the gratitude of the service users that I met. I’m now looking forward to getting stuck in and helping, in whatever small way I can, to improve the lives of people in our city who have found themselves in need of support. I’m a strong believer in “but for the grace of God go I”.
